Description
Citrus bergamia
Bergamot is a citrus fruit that is mainly cultivated in Calabria, southern Italy. The bergamot tree is an evergreen that grows up to 4 meters high boasting white flowers and round to pear-shaped, sour bergamot fruits that are picked between November and March. Bergamot is used primarily for fragrances (Eau de Cologne) as the top note and as the flavoring for food (Earl Grey tea).
